Hover over Romans 1:20-22 for proof of God's existence, and over Matthew 5:27-28 for Judgment Day’s perfect standard. Then hover over John 3:16-18 for what God did, and over Acts 17:30-31 for what to do.

Ugly Dogs

Comfort Food
Read the Bible in a year: Genesis 19, Psalm 22, Matthew 12

If you’ve ever Googled “ugly dogs” and clicked on “Images” you’ve probably wondered how anyone could love these animals. But they are often loved by their owners because their love is blind. When my kids were born I thought each one was the most beautiful baby in the world. When I looked back at their baby pictures a year or so later, I realized how blind my love was. Such is the case with humanity. Each of us is pretty ugly, and yet God loves us. This is because His love isn’t drawn out by what He sees, but by what He is: “God is Love.” Hollywood marriages are usually based on what couples see. Mr. Handsome marries Miss Gorgeous because he sees that she is a beautiful rose. But when time causes her petals to fall off, all he gets are thorns. His attitude reveals what a shallow and ugly dog he really is, and once again, much to no-one’s surprise, there is another really ugly Hollywood divorce.

Copying the Suckers on the Octopus.
“The working face of the suction cup has a curved surface. When the center of the suction cup is pressed against a flat, non-porous surface, the volume of the space between the suction cup and the flat surface is reduced, which causes the fluid between the cup and the surface to be expelled past the rim of the circular cup. When the user ceases to apply physical pressure to the center of the outside of the cup, the elastic substance of which the cup is made tends to resume its original, curved shape.…The modern suction cup was patented in 1882, and is based on the biological suckers on octopus arms.”[1]
