Hover over Romans 1:20-22 for proof of God's existence, and over Matthew 5:27-28 for Judgment Day’s perfect standard. Then hover over John 3:16-18 for what God did, and over Acts 17:30-31 for what to do.

The uniqueness of the human being

If I could name one feature about humanity that is unique in creation, it’s atheism. Only human beings have the ability to bow the knee or not bow the knee to the God that gave them life.

The stumbling-block for many atheists when it comes to the issue of God, is the subject of "faith." They think that a Christian is someone who believes that God exists. However, a Christian is someone who "knows" God experientially. I believed in God’s existence before I was a Christian. When I came to know the Lord, I moved out of the realm of belief into the realm of experience. I know Him "Whom to know is life eternal." When a sinner comes to know God it’s called "conversion," or "the new birth" of John chapter 3.

Being a Christian is also more than an intellectual belief in the Genesis account of creation, where we are told that God created man in His own image--morally cognizant, and as male and female. To believe in the theory of evolution, which says otherwise, is to call God a liar.

This is because it contradicts Scripture. It says that man wasn’t made in God’s image, but that we evolved, over a long period of time, from primates. An evolutionist believes that all the animals we have now, were not as we see them.

They were radically different. Dinosaurs, over millions of years, became birds, fish became lizards, whales grew legs, dogs were something else, primates split from primates and evolved into human beings.

So, when they tell you that evolution is a fact, ask why there are no species-to-species transitional forms in the fossil record. Why is there no evidence anywhere (in the billions of bones of dead animals) of any species becoming another different species?

Darwinian’s are flogging a dead and decomposed horse. Evolution isn’t true. It never has been and it never will be, no matter how long they wait for evidence. That’s upsetting for its true believers, because it leaves only one alternative—that God created mankind as male and female and that you and I are morally responsible beings.

So, is there any way to know which is true? Did God make us or didn’t He? To even ask the question is an intellectual embarrassment. It’s like a man sitting on a 747 and asking if there is any evidence that the plane had a maker. The fact that the plane exists is his evidence. Planes don’t make themselves, and neither did this incredible planet called earth make itself.

The theory of evolution is a non-issue when compared to your eternal salvation. So set it aside for a moment and think about where you will spend eternity. Think about this precious gift of life. Think about your mortality. Think about your sins, and then think about what God did on the Cross to save you from their eternal consequences.

If someone really wants to know if it’s true that Jesus died on the cross to take the punishment for us so that we could have everlasting life--if they are genuinely open to evidence—they simply have to obey His words. Listen to what He said:

"Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed in Him, 'If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free'" (John 8:31-32).

Someone's comment on the above:

"Prayer: Talking wishfully to one's self."

This is true, if you have a proud attitude: "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6).
