"If something as simple as matter requires a creator, why doesn't something as complex as God? If something as complex as God doesn't require a creator, why does something as simple as matter?" -- Hawker Hurricane -- Dave B
For those who don’t know, the Hawker Hurricane was a British single-seat fighter aircraft that was designed and predominantly built by Hawker Aircraft Ltd. Presumably the person who said the above knows that, and he considers himself to be a real fighter.
However, his quote doesn’t fly. Not in the slightest. It's such a thoughtless statement, I’m surprised that another person would bother to quote him.
The fact of the matter is that matter is not simple. It’s unspeakably complex. Matter is the "stuff" of which creation is made, and it’s so complex, with all our modern technology, we don’t know how to make it. Not even an atom of it. We can recreate existing matter, but we can’t create. Only God can do that.
Then again, I must remember that I’m dealing with people who are so unthinking that they could think that Hawker Aircraft Ltd. didn't (and doesn't) exist, and that the British single-seater just happened, by itself. To them, truth about matter doesn't matter. Nothingdidit.
