Demanding Answers

"I've come to the point of demanding an answer to these questions . . . Answer them not and know that I have written you off as a hopeless hypocrite, --that, as it were, I have shaken the dust off my feet before you--or respond, and perhaps, I will bear you out yet a while longer. In all due respect, I ask of you the following:"


Q1: Do you believe in microevolution? OF COURSE. WE SEE EVIDENCE OF IT ALL AROUND US.

Q2: Do you believe in natural selection? THAT DEPENDS ON YOUR DEFINITION. GOD HAS CREATED A SYSTEM IN NATURE WHERE THE STRONGEST SURVIVE. THE LION EATS THE LAMB.

Q3: Do you think that one can be both a Christian and an evolutionist? A NEW CHRISTIAN, YES. BUT AS HE OR SHE READS AND BELIEVES THE SCRIPTURES, HE (OR SHE) WILL SEE THAT THE TWO ARE COMPLETELY INCOMPATIBLE.

Q4: Do you believe that the book of Genesis calls for a literal interpretation? DEFINITELY. JESUS LITERALLY BELIEVED IT, SO DID THE APOSTLE PAUL.

Q5: Do you believe that the earth was created in 6,000 years? IT TOOK SIX DAYS. HOWEVER, I HAVE NO IDEA HOW OLD THE EARTH IS.

Q6: In one sentence, what do you believe is the chief purpose of human life? TO LOVE GOD AND ENJOY HIM AND HIS CREATION FOREVERMORE.

Q7: In one sentence, what is the ultimate purpose of this blog? TO EQUIP AND ENCOURAGE CHRISTIANS TO REACH OUT TO THE UNSAVED, AND TO DO SO MYSELF.

Q8: Is your belief in God's existence based on faith or absolute knowledge? BOTH. EXPERIENTIAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE GOD I TRUST.

Q9: Do you believe that truth is relative? I BELIEVE THAT THERE IS ABSOLUTE TRUTH (SEE JOHN 14:6).

Q10: In one sentence, what is "wisdom"? THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM, AND THAT WISDOM IS FOUND IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD.

Q11: In one sentence, what is "faith"? BIBLICAL FAITH IS IMPLICIT TRUST IN THE PERSON OF GOD/THE SAVIOR, AND HIS IMMUTABLE PROMISES.

Q12: In one sentence what does it mean to you to "prove" something? I DON'T THINK HUMAN BEINGS CAN PROVE ANYTHING ABSOLUTELY. GOD, HOWEVER, CAN ABSOLUTELY PROVE HIMSELF TO THOSE WHO REPENT AND TRUST HIM.

Q13: In one sentence, why should a person put his faith in Jesus Christ? WITHOUT THE SAVIOR, WE WILL GET EXACTLY WHAT WE DESERVE ON JUDGMENT DAY.
