How Many "Gods" are There?

"And God said, let us make man in our image" (Genesis 1:26).

CONTRADICTION: "Unto you it was showed, that you might know that the Lord he is God; there is none else beside him" (Deuteronomy 4:35).

EXPLANATION: The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ was preexistent with God before He was manifest in Human form. He was the "Word" (the voice of God) that created all things: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God . . . And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us" (John 1:1-2, 14). Look at what Jesus said of Himself: "I and my Father are one" (John 10:30) and "And the glory which you gave me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one" (John 17:22).
