Hover over Romans 1:20-22 for proof of God's existence, and over Matthew 5:27-28 for Judgment Day’s perfect standard. Then hover over John 3:16-18 for what God did, and over Acts 17:30-31 for what to do.

Fiery Trials

Comfort Food
Read the Bible in a year: Genesis 20-21, Psalms 23-25, Matthew 13

God doesn’t always come running when I have trials. He sometimes leaves me in them. Christians go through the same trials as the world does. We get wet when it rains and we bruise when we fall. We get common colds and even cancer, and we die, just like everyone else. Sometimes we go through “fiery” trials. The first eleven disciples were murdered. That’s pretty fiery. They didn’t get a deliverance miracle. So why would anyone in his right mind want to become a Christian? There one good reason: Everlasting life is the free gift that God offers to all who repent and trust in Jesus. Unsaved people can often find happiness in this world. Many become rich, popular and successful. They can even survive their own fiery trials. But they can’t find deliverance from the power of the grave, outside of Jesus Christ. Only He has destroyed death and can give immortality to all who trust in Him, and it’s for that reason I’m a Christian.

Dessert: Copying Lizard Feet.
“Gecko Tape is a material covered with nanoscopic (very small) hair, copying the design on the feet of gecko and lizards. This tape could allow someone to walk up walls and across ceilings, thanks to the millions of very small hairs that provide a very powerful adhesive effect. Some uses of Gecko Tape now include underwater and space station uses.”[1]

“If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay. If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.” ― Charles H. Spurgeon
