Hover over Romans 1:20-22 for proof of God's existence, and over Matthew 5:27-28 for Judgment Day’s perfect standard. Then hover over John 3:16-18 for what God did, and over Acts 17:30-31 for what to do.

Fanatical Atheism

It was Heywood Broun who said, “Nobody talks so constantly about God as those who insist that there is no God.” There are at least two reasons for this strange phenomenon. First, the professing atheist is like a man who continually talks about his belief that infrared light doesn’t exist, despite the fact that he uses it when he changes a TV channel with his remote control. Infrared light is invisible to his naked eye, so he insists on telling others that it doesn't exist. This ties in with the second reason he talks about God so often. It is because he has no purpose for his own existence. Talking about God and how He doesn’t exist so often, not only gives him a sense of identity as an "atheist," but it also gives him something to do with his meaningless life, until the day he dies. He should thank God that Christians are caring enough to humble themselves intellectually, and engage him in his beliefs. But we do because we love him . . . and somehow that makes atheists mad. Human nature is both strange, and predictable.
