Here’s a question that science can’t really answer--What is light? Of course, we know that the sun is the earth’s main source of light, and that we have other minor sources of light. We have fire, florescent light, ultraviolet light, and infrared light, just to name a few. But with all the knowledge that we have acquired through time, we know little about this wonderful thing called "light." It allows us to see. It gives us warmth. It is responsible for color. It moves fairly quickly (at 186,000 miles per second). We can't take hold of it, we can’t outrun it, and can't even really define it. If you look for more than a few seconds at our source of light, it will blind you. Without it, we would eventually perish. The Bible likens God to light. He gave us our sight. We can experience the warmth of His love and kindness. We can’t get away from Him, and without Him we will eventually perish.
