Hover over Romans 1:20-22 for proof of God's existence, and over Matthew 5:27-28 for Judgment Day’s perfect standard. Then hover over John 3:16-18 for what God did, and over Acts 17:30-31 for what to do.

Amazing Face

Have you ever objectively studied your face? There are billions of faces, and every one is different (except for “identical” twins). Each one has its own individual characteristics, and yet God made every one with just two eyes, a nose, and a mouth. If you think that's no big deal, try it yourself, from nothing.

Think about the ethnicity of each face. The Chinese look different from the Japanese and the Tibetans. The Dutch look different from the English and the German. You can pick a Russian from a Brazilian or someone from Africa, simply by looking at his face.

But the genius of Almighty God is even more wonderful. Look into the mirror and study your face closely. Start with no expression, and then see if you can act. Use your eyes only to express fear, pain, joy, disappointment, anger, thoughtfulness, and amazement. You won't be able to confine the emotion to the eyes. You will feel the muscles--particularly around your eyes and mouth automatically (with no conscious effort on your part) join in with whatever emotion you express through your eyes. The human face is much more than "amazing." It’s a miracle of the unspeakable genius of the Creator. What an honor (understatement of eternity) to know Him, to love Him, and to serve Him.

Do you know Him? Or do you just know about Him? The way to come to know Him (in whom the Bible says dwells the source of life and light), is to think about your many sins, and then think soberly about the Savior and what He did for you on the cross. Then apologize to God, turn from that sin, and entrust yourself completely to the person of Jesus Christ. That's the way of salvation. It’s so simple, a child can understand it. So, what are you waiting for? Evidence? You need no more than a mirror. Face it.

Generous Atheist

"Rufus said... Email sent to Mark at Living Waters. Mark: I responded to Ray Comfort's blog post 'A New Book'. I don't want a copy of his book. Please, do something practical and useful instead. Take the cover price of the book, add what it would have cost to mail it to me, then send that amount to Doctors without Borders. Thank You. Sincerely:"

Rufus...it's true that you did respond, but there was no substance to what you said. So, as you can see from the list of those who responded, you didn't qualify for a book. It's still not too late to send something that isn't so cynical. Do that, and we will be more than happy to send the cover price (plus S/H) to such a wonderful organization. I look forward to hearing from you. Perhaps the other atheists that are actually on the list would like to match your kind offer.

How to Create False Converts

Godzguy said... Ray, Don't want to be a bit off subject, wanted to see if you could quickly (lol) comment on this. I recently asked a youth ministry website why the said owner of ministry does not use repentance in their salvation message and he replied with this post:

"Hey all, great conversation. As for repentance I beleive it is absolutely essential for salvation but it is probably the MOST mistranslated word in the Bible. The NT word for repentance is "metaneo" which means "to perceive differently afterwards" or, a more common translation "to change your mind." So when talking in the context of sin it means to change your mind about that sin. But when talking about salvation it means to change your mind about what you are trusting in (good deeds).

"To repent is to believe and to believe is to repent. It’s two ways of describing the same thing…relying on Jesus’s work instead of our own. That’s why it’s used interchangeably throughout the NT. If repent is a separate act from salvation then John missed it when he wrote the book of John. He uses the word "believe" 98xs and doesn’t use the word "repent" once. What’s interesting is that this is the only book in the Bible written to a completely unbelieving crowd (John 20:31). If repentance and faith aren’t synonomous then it would seem that John the apostle preached an incomplete gospel.

"But he didn’t…and we aren’t. It’s those who add works to salvation under the guise of a misinterpretation of the word "repent" who are perverting the gospel of grace.

"We repent (change our minds) when we believe (trust in; rely upon) Jesus based on what He did for us on the cross and we are saved. He then comes into our lives and changes us from the inside out (turns us from our sins) day after day. But he doesn’t begin that work of spiritual transforamtion until He’s working from the inside (Philippians 2:12-13) and He doesn’t get on the inside until we trust in Him for our salvation (Ephesians 1:13-14)."

I don't know how to respond to this; thanks for your input and ministry. God is great!

Guy R- Ky

Sin is no longer seen as "exceedingly sinful" (see Romans 7:13), when the moral Law (the Ten Commandments) is forsaken in the gospel proclamation. It is one of the great reasons why our Churches are filled with false converts, and the world is filled with what are erroneously called bitter "backsliders" (such as those angry folks who frequent this site). The following is from The Evidence Bible. I hope it helps:

"It is true that numerous Bible verses speak of the promise of salvation with no mention of repentance. These verses merely say to "believe" on Jesus Christ and you shall be saved (see Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9).

However, the Bible makes it clear that God is holy and man is sinful, and that sin makes a separation between the two (see Isaiah 59:1-2). Without repentance from sin, wicked men cannot have fellowship with a holy God. We are dead in our trespasses and sins (see Ephesians 2:1) and until we forsake them through repentance, we cannot be made alive in Christ. The Scriptures speak of "repentance unto life" (see Acts 11:18). We turn from sin to the Savior. This is why Paul preached "repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ" (Acts 20:21).

The first public word Jesus preached was "repent" (see Matthew 4:17). John the Baptist began his ministry the same way (see Matthew 3:2). Jesus told His hearers that without repentance, they would perish (see Luke 13:3). If belief is all that is necessary for salvation, then the logical conclusion is that one need never repent. However, the Bible tells us that a false convert "believes" and yet is not saved (see Luke 8:13); he remains a "worker of iniquity."
Look at the warning of Scripture: "If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth" (1 John 1:6). The Scriptures also say, "He that covers his sins shall not prosper, but whoso confesses and forsakes them [repentance] shall have mercy" (Proverbs 28:13). Jesus said that there was joy in heaven over one sinner who "repents"(see Luke 15:10). If there is no repentance, there is no joy because there is no salvation.

As Peter preached on the Day of Pentecost, he commanded his hearers to repent "for the remission of sins" (Acts 2:38). Without repentance, there is no remission of sins; we are still under God’s wrath. Peter further said, "Repent . . . and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out" (Acts 3:19). We cannot be "converted" unless we repent.

God Himself "commands all men everywhere [leaving no exceptions] to repent" (see Acts 17:30). Peter said a similar thing at Pentecost: "Repent, and be baptized every one of you" (Acts 2:38).

If repentance wasn’t necessary for salvation, why then did Jesus command that repentance be preached to all nations (see Luke 24:47)?

With so many Scriptures speaking of the necessity of repentance for salvation, one can only suspect that those who preach salvation without repentance are strangers to repentance themselves, and thus strangers to true conversion.

Interesting Thread

Captain Howdy was excited because no one (who believed in preserving the life of a child in the womb) had bothered to answer his question. He said, "If you were in a fertility clinic and a fire broke out, and you could rescue either a trapped, screaming, terrified 2-year-old girl or a tray with 1000 2-week-old embryos in it--but not both--which would you choose? One of the two will burn; you can only rescue one."

Ethan answered him: "Again, an irrelevant question that's an obvious attempt to distract from the real issue. Human beings have a right to life no matter there size, or intelligence, or there dependency on others.

"If you saw an anthrax bomb but only had time to toss in front of three young women or just leave it a room of six terminal cancer patients who would you choose to suffer a horrible death?

"Do you hate women or do you think sick people should just hurry up and die? I just really want to know how evil you are?

"Your question, like mine, doesn't answer the question, ‘When do humans have basic rights -- like the right to live?’ No matter what crazy question that your immoral heart comes up with you cannot get around the issue of what abortion is really about -- murder. But as an atheist, without a moral ground, without sound reasoning; foolish questions, crazy hypothetical situations, and pointless rhetoric is all you have. Retort away."

Thanks Ethan.

A New Book

I have a new book coming out soon. There will be a chapter on atheism. Tell me, what do atheists (officially) believe about:

God, the Bible, Heaven & Hell, Sin, Salvation (from death and Hell), and Jesus.

NOTE: Thank you to those atheists who have already kindly responded so quickly: Alan Manuel, Adrian Hayter, Kaitlyn, Andrew, Daddy S, Paul, Siberia, Chuck, Irradiatus, Christ follower, Rando, Paul (NZ), Ella, Dakota Green, and Steven J. If any of you (responders) would like a free copy of the book, email your physical address (or box number) to mark@livingwaters.com

P.s. No more please. We have had adequate responses. Thank you.

Amazing Desciption

Look at how the 2,000 year-old New Testament perfectly describes the contemporary believer in evolution:

"But God shows his anger from Heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. They know the truth about God because He has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship Him as God or even give Him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools" (Romans 1:18-22--New Living Translation).

This is What You are Saying...

"I sometimes have trouble telling right from wrong. I just thought maybe we could work toward an America in which no one wants an abortion as opposed to making it illegal and having people get it anyway in very dangerous environments. That's just how I see it. I guess I do want it both ways. I want to be both pro-life in terms of my personal life and pro-choice in terms of how I vote." Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn. I appreciate your honesty. However, this is in essence what you are saying, "I want a Germany in which no one wants to kill Jews as apposed to making it illegal and having them killed in very dangerous environments. I want to keep Jews alive in terms of my personal life and have them murdered in terms of how I vote." Nice.

Your "I sometimes have trouble telling right from wrong" pinpoints your problem. Atheism has no moral anchor. There’s no absolute right or absolute wrong. That’s why you can advocate murder and not feel bad about it, all in the name of compassion. In one sense, you may be right about not having a soul. So Kaitlyn, where is your conscience? Why have you so hardened it? If I were in your shoes I would very quickly cry out to God for His forgiveness, and trust Jesus Christ before it’s too late. Once you know His mercy, and once you let His love into your cold heart, you will be horrified that any human being could sink so low as to advocate the killing of children in the womb.

Resolution to the Argument

The issue of which is correct (evolution or Intelligent Design) is solved instantly, the moment any truth-seeking person humbles him or her self, repents of sin (read Matthew 5:21-30) and trusts Jesus Christ as Lord and as Savior. But many of you aren’t seeking the truth. You prefer to believe a lie because you love your sins. It’s as simple as that. See John 8:31-32.

You are Kidding

For those of you who still accuse me of misrepresenting the theory of Darwinian evolution, please check out this imaginary drawing from, The Future is Wild, a publication by leading evolutionists in which they imagine what fish and animals will look like in millions of years.

The pictured "megasquid" is the place that evolution will take the common squid--a "cephalopod" (there are around 786 distinct living species of cephalopods) in a 100 million years. This is a squid transitioning into another species--a much larger oxygen-breathing, land-dwelling animal, with elephant-like legs. These creatures developed lungs because (over millions of years) "at last, cephalopods had discovered an efficient means of breathing air." I guess their gills didn't cut it for them. So both the male and female evolved lungs while under the water and crawled up on the land together.

This is nothing to do with "common ancestory." This is one species turning into another.

These men imagine the future, and Darwin imagined the past. Both are science fiction. . . . and evolutionists have the gall to call such wild speculation "science."

The theory is nothing but a joke, but the issue is so great it's not at all funny.

Species to Species Definition

"'I have read most of Ray’s books, seen most of his videos and heard hundreds of his witness encounters, and as of yet have never caught him in a lie.' Then you are willfully ignoring data. Mr. Comfort engages in demonstrable dishonesty when he makes mention of transitional fossil forms, as he misrepresents the meaning of transitional in the context of fossils." Dimensio

I am often accused of lying, especially when it comes to saying that there are no "species-to-species" transitional forms. Before I explain what I mean, it’s important to know that there is some confusion as to the meaning of the word "species." This is what the dictionary says of the word: "Biology: the major subdivision of a genus or subgenus, regarded as the basic category of biological classification, composed of related individuals that resemble one another, are able to breed among themselves, but are not able to breed with members of another species." Wolves, coyotes and German shepherds are of the same species (the canine family or "kind"), but they can't breed with cats or tigers (which are the felidae family or "kind").

When I say that there are no species-to-species transitional forms in the fossil record, I am saying that nowhere will you find a skeleton of a cat evolving into a dog, or a chicken evolving into a fish, or a horse into a cow, no matter how long you go back in history.

As the Bible so rightly says, every animal brings forth "after its own kind." Both in the creation we see around us (and in creation we see in locked into the historical fossil record) is evidence against, not for, the theory of Darwinian evolution. All of nature screams of intelligent design. All of it. None even hints of Darwinian evolution. If you think that’s a lie, then so be it. God is my judge.

Today's Athiest Memory Verse

"Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead" (Acts 17:30-31).

Open-minded Evolutionist

"Ray, do you call everyone who disagrees with you and posts a comment here an Atheist? That's a bit much. There could be quite a few individuals here who just want to set you straight on topics like evolution. Which does not make them an Atheist. I accept evolution and I believe in God and I am not alone. I for one would just like to see you open your mind and read some peer reviewed articles on the subject and try learn something instead of maligning science and spewing ignorance." J.G.

There is only one God and He revealed Himself and how we were created, through His Word. In Scripture we are told that God made man in His own image. He created Adam as a man and then He created a female for him to reproduce, after his own kind.

So the god you believe in, is what is known as an "idol." An idol is the creation of the human mind and is often then shaped with hands with wood or stone. The reason we are so prone to idolatry is that an idol doesn’t tell us what to do. An idol doesn’t consider lust to be adultery, hatred to be murder, or condemn lying and stealing. An idol is dumb, and the Bible says those that create them are like them. We can shape our little god into anything we feel comfortable with, even if it’s an unthinking and unscientific theory that we believe gives us a license to sin.

You are right about not being alone when it comes to idolatry. Millions worship false gods. You may not have formed your own religion with your god (Hinduism has 450million gods), but he is extremely popular, especially in the western world and among university students. And anyone who is gullible enough to believe in evolution will also be gullible enough to believe that when they create a god in their mind, it somehow does exist. Yet it doesn’t. It’s a figment of a fertile imagination (the place of imagery). Idolaters still have to face the God of the Bible on the day of Judgment, whether they believe in Him or not.

Imagine that--standing alone before the throne of a holy and perfect Creator, the One that spoke the sun into existence and has seen every thought that has passed through your sinful mind. Imagine that--standing alone before Almighty God who requires an account of every idle word you have spoken, and every deed you have done, even if it is in secret. I think that you had better forget your image of god, repent and trust in the Savior before it’s too late.

Are Ray and Kirk "willful liars"?

"Ray insists (Kirk in the video), that we need thousands of 'intermediate fossils,' so, if we have hundreds or tens it does not count? What about Ray/Kirk using a few discredited fossils and forget all of those that are very good? . . . Liars are liars, and Ray and Kirk are willful liars. When Ray interviews those guys he says 'observe how atheists tend to use words such as 'maybe', 'I am not an expert' ...' He is implying all atheists are like that." G.E.

Kirk Cameron and I produced an award-winning video called "The Science of Evolution." It’s from our television program and it is so unique (and funny), we decided to make it a "stand-alone." In it, we take an orangutan to lunch (just for fun) and discuss the theory of evolution. That was very interesting. I also called eight airlines and asked if I could take the orangutan on the plane. When they insisted that he go in the cargo hold, I insisted that he was a “relative” and should get a seat. They wouldn’t budge, because they knew intuitively that he’s a beast, and he could go ape. We also tried to get UCLA professors to talk about evolution on camera. None would come on. It was like pulling teeth to try and get anyone. So I spoke to lay folks about the theory and each sounded like an expert at first, but with a little probing they admitted that they have no idea what they are talking about. These are not isolated cases. It happens all the time.

We point out how, if Darwin was right, there should be thousands of intermediate fossils (species-to-species transitions) in the fossil record. G.E. (on my blog) is really upset about that, and says that they have "hundreds" then he changes it to "tens." However, there aren’t any. None. We didn’t "forget all of those that are very good" because there aren’t any species-to-species transitional forms in the fossil record.

Evolution is such an important issue. This generation has been brainwashed by this idiocy, all in the name of science. So, this week’s "Special" is: Buy ten copies of the DVD for just $20, and we will throw in a free copy of, Evolution. The Fairy Tale for Grownups (over $60 worth). See www.livingwaters.com

"I have never heard evolutionary theory debunked and undone in a more effective and easy to understand way . . ." Damon H. (CA)

"You'll love this . . . So funny yet informative and gives you enough to give ‘intelligent’ answers to those brainwashed by evolution."

Atheist Mistake

"Ray Comfort wrote: 'Unwittingly, we are heading for death and Hell.' One of my rules when dealing with the English language is to capitalize all objects of religious veneration. Which makes it incredibly telling for me that Ray Comfort capitalized Hell." German Mike

According to grammar experts it is right to capitalize Hell: "Specific geographical locations: Hartford, Connecticut, Africa, Forest Park Zoo, Lake Erie, the Northeast, the Southend." You made the mistake of going by your grammatical rules. No doubt you are making the same mistake morally.

The Owner Has Something in His Hand

A story is told of a dog that was joyfully swimming in the sea, and unwittingly heading for a riptide that would suck him beneath the waters. He was having such a good time, he refused to obey his master’s call. So his owner threw a stick towards him, to which the dog turned, took it in his mouth and brought it to his master’s feet.

The Bible says that there is no one who seeks after God (Romans 3:11). We are rebels, and each of us has turned to his own way, to do his own thing. Unwittingly, we are heading for death and Hell.

However, our Owner has something in His hand that can cause us to turn to Him. It is the stick of His moral Law (the Ten Commandments). When we see (through the Law) that He is perfect, holy, just and good--that He sees lust as adultery and hatred as murder, and that He will bring every work to judgment, good sense turns us around.

It is the Law that is a "schoolmaster" (Galatians 3:24) that brings us to the foot of the cross, where we can find mercy and forgiveness of sins.

Hypocrisy

The new democratic ticket says "we will pass onto our children and even better life than the one we live . . ." The problem with such empty talk is that they are both advocates of killing children in the womb.

Good Fornicators

We are a nation that has fallen away from God. Most believe in His existence and pray daily, but as the Bible says, we only have a “form” of godliness. According to bullypulpit@googlegroups.com studies reveal that that since 1970, the number of Americans living together has increased from about 500,000 opposite-sex couples to more than 5 million. That’s ten million individual Americans, living in fornication.

A new analysis also found that the marriage rate is down in all countries except Norway and Sweden, which have had traditionally low marriage rates anyway. While in the USA from 1995 to 2005, the marriage rate declined almost 20%.

A 33 year-old Brooklyn woman has even co-authored a book called, The Good Girl's Guide to Living in Sin. She says that many women her age and younger view living with a romantic partner as a convenience, and that not about avoiding marriage. She added, "It's what's happening in the world of dating, and it's not necessarily a path anywhere." The woman is wrong about that--it is a “path” that leads somewhere. God’s Word makes it clear that fornicators will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

The title of her book is interesting. Humanity has always messed with the word "good." A pedophile, a rapist, an adulterer, and even a mass murderer may think that they are morally good, and that may be true if the word "good" is relative. But it’s not. The word "good" (in God’s Book) is set in stone. It means to be morally perfect, in thought, word and in deed.

Most of us will continue to think that we are morally good, as long as we are ignorant of the perfect and holy standard by which God will judge us on Judgment Day.

As Christians, if we care about this world, we must us the moral Law to show them that they are in great error, and desperately need His mercy.

A Note to Christians

Just a note to those of you who love the Lord, and care about the lost enough to answer their questions and address their objections. I know it can be frustrating to read their responses, but keep in mind that many others are also reading this blog and thinking about what they read.

Please keep each one in prayer, no matter how angry they seem, or how foolish they are in their arguments. This isn't a game. We are talking about their eternity. I am encouraged by your love and concern for them. Thank you.

Indiana Jones

In the blockbuster movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Indiana was in search of the Holy Grail. This is supposedly the cup from which Jesus drank at the Last Supper. Whoever sipped from it would receive everlasting life. Through a series of circumstances, Indiana was forced to make his way past three "challenges."

He has clues written in a book that he holds in his hand. As he makes his way toward the Grail, his first clue is "The penitent man will pass." He repeats the words over and over. Suddenly the clue dawns on him. He whispers, "The penitent man is humble before God...kneel!" He instantly drops to his knees, and as he does so, two spinning blades slice the air where his head had just been. He has made it past the first challenge.

The second is a group of steppingstones with letters of the alphabet on them. The clue is "Proceed in the footsteps of the Word of God." Again, he says the clue repeatedly. Then he whispers, "The name of God is Jehovah," and takes his first step, almost falling to his death as the steppingstone gives way. He then realizes that the name of God in Latin begins with the letter "I." He steps it out and successfully completes the second challenge.

The third challenge is to pass over a huge, bottomless chasm—with no bridge. The clue given is "The path of God. Only a leap from a lion’s head will prove his worth." Indiana is understandably terrified at the thought of stepping off the edge over a deep crevasse when there is nothing upon which to step. But he has no choice. He must stand by the stone carving of the lion’s head and take a leap of faith. He closes his eyes and steps out onto nothing.

Suddenly his foot touches something solid. The camera angle moves to one side, revealing that the path upon which he had stepped was optically invisible. He walks across the path and then scoops up some sand to toss back onto it, so that those following might see the way more clearly. He has passed the third challenge.

He approaches a table upon which more than a dozen ancient cups are sitting. Most are made of gold or silver. Which one is the Holy Grail? A knight holding a sword tells him that he must choose. He says, "Choose wisely. The true Grail will give you life. The false grail will take it from you." Those who drink from the wrong cup will find that the curse of the Genesis Fall will take place in seconds, rather than the lifetime it normally takes to age and then die.

Indiana ignores the golden cups, picks up a plain one and says, "The cup of a carpenter..." He sips from the cup, and lives. The knight smiles and says, "You have chosen wisely."

Although this captivating story is fiction, it echoes the gospel truth. There is only one way to approach God, and that is through bowing the knee. God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. If you refuse to humble yourself before God, you will suffer swift and terrible consequences. These are not my thoughts; they are the clues, the pointers, the indications from the Book that says it is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.

The second clue was the name of God. The Book tells us that God has given Jesus a name that is above every other name. It warns, "There is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). It couldn’t be clearer. The Bible spells it out for us—so be careful where you step.

Now you stand before the great chasm of eternity. You know that you have to humble yourself. You know the only name that can save you. Now you must take a step of faith to prepare for eternity, for without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Are you fearful to take that step? You have no choice. Death could seize upon you before you finish reading this sentence...and then you will find yourself in eternity, standing guilty before a Holy God, without a Savior.

The Bible tells us that God has "hidden these things from the wise and prudent" (Matthew 11:25). What is hidden from your eyes at the moment will be revealed to you after you have taken that step. I took it more than thirty years ago and it proved trustworthy. It is a narrow way, but one in which the Lord will uphold you with His hand. Through this blog I am trying my best to make the way apparent for you, so that you can see the path more clearly.

After that step is taken, you may drink from the Cup of Salvation. It isn’t made with gold or silver. Nor is it the cold cup of a dead, rich, ritualistic religion. It is a lowly Carpenter’s cup—the way of humility and faith, given by the One who said, "Blessed are those who...thirst for righteousness" (Matthew 5:6).

Being a Christian means identifying with something the world despises—righteousness. But the way of righteousness is the way to everlasting life (Proverbs 12:28). There is no other way.

Whether You Believe or Not . . .

When this happens, know that we tried to warn you, but you wouldn’t listen:

" . . . when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power . . . " (2 Thessalonians 1:7-9).

Why we Annoy This World

"As the Agnostic once said: 'I don't have any problem with God -- it's his fan club who is annoying.'"

"If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also" (John 15:18-20).

P.s. Prediction: "We don't hate you. We just don't believe in fairy tales, etc., etc."

Hating God

"Atheists, don't hate any god, fairy, leprechaun, unicorn or other fictional being. It's impossible to hate something that does not exist. Try to get this burned in your mind this time. Repeat it a few thousand times if that helps."

That’s right. Atheists don’t hate fairies, leprechauns or unicorns, because they don’t exist. It is impossible to hate something that doesn’t exist. And that makes the point. You hate God because He does exist. You spend your time thinking about Him, then arguing about Him, then blaspheming His name (what greater hatred can you have for a person than to use their name as a cuss word?), and showing contempt for, and ridicule of, those that love Him.

You have the axiomatic evidence of creation and of your conscience, and you are therefore without excuse. By professing the blindness of atheism you are denying the God-given light that He has given each of us.

There are some cultures that will show so much contempt for a family member that has wronged them, they actually deny his existence. They refuse to acknowledge that he existed as a son. They don’t want to see him, hear from him, or talk to him. That’s what the professing atheist does with God, and his or her reason for doing so is moral. It’s not intellectual. If it was an intellectual issue there wouldn’t be any argument. But because you love your sins and you know that God requires an account for every action and every word (including your thought-life), you can’t stand that thought, and so you deny His existence.

The "empty" threat of Hell

"The difference between the Bible and an instruction book is the myriad of untestable (and detestable) claims the Bible makes. How do you know that if I 'sin' I will go to Hell? Only from the Bible, which is a source of such dubious credibility as to be laughable. Can you prove to me that ANY of what the Bible claims about Hell and 'sin' is true? Can you prove to me that Hell exists? If not, you, along with all your pulpit-pounding ilk, are nothing more than a carnival ride of empty threats." Temple

Hell is no empty threat. If I believed it was, I wouldn’t bother warning you. However, the way for anyone who doesn't like the thought is to say that you don’t believe in God. That cuts the problem off for you at the Source. All you have to do is ignore your God-given common sense. He doesn’t exist because you don’t believe in Him. You could carry this further if you didn’t like gravity, history, the wind or love. Those things can’t be seen, and therefore wouldn’t exist if you didn’t believe in them either. Anything that you don’t like will not exist if you just say that you don’t believe in it.

The key to being a committed atheist is to be totally unreasonable. When someone denies the obvious, you can’t reason with them. That’s why you can be presented with the absolute and clear evidence of creation (which screams of a Creator to any reasonable person), and you can say that there’s no evidence for God.

If you were reasonable, I would say that we know that Hell exists because we know intuitively that God is good. And if He is good, He must by nature punish a man who has tied up and raped three teenage girls, and then one by one, strangled them to death. In this case, justice delayed is not justice denied. God will bring that murderer to judgment and see that he gets exactly what he deserves, and Hell is the place of God’s justice. It’s His prison. Common sense tells that if God is good, it is right that He is also just. However, God is so good He will also punish thieves, liars, fornicators, adulterers, blasphemers, and everyone who has violated His perfect and holy Law. That leaves us all in big trouble. Without a Savior we will get exactly what we deserve, and that is a

Is God Guilty of Murder?

Let's use the BIBLE to see...WHO IS THE BIGGER MURDER? GOD OR SATAN? Search for the phrase "How many has God killed?" in Google. The first result takes you to a site that totals all the people God directly killed in the Bible, using only verses that give specific numbers. So how many people did God kill in the Bible through his direct actions? At least.... 2,391,421." Chief K

Get your calculator out and punch in the number 6,525,486,603. That’s how many people are alive now, but will soon be dead. Then try and figure out how many people have died since the beginning of time. That will be a problem for you if you are a believer in the theory of evolution, because you won’t be able to define the word "people," nor will you be able to pinpoint the "beginning" of time. However, do your best.

Then add this figure to your 6,525,486,603 and you will have a much bigger number than your mere 2,391,421 deaths that are recorded in the Bible. Then write the words "executed by God" after that total. This is because God as Judge of the Universe is the One who said "The soul that sins, it shall die." He is the One who has said that the wages of sin is death.

You arrogantly accused Almighty God--the Judge of the Universe (who is without sin) of the crime of murder, when you are the desperately wicked and guilty criminal. If you don’t believe that, then do what I did and every other Christian--take a moment to take yourself through the Ten Commandments (in the light of Matthew chapters 5-7). You have blown it big-time. Sorry about that Chief.

Not Long to Go . . .

I watched Richard Dawkins on the BBC, whining about Christians once again. The man who is almost certain that there is no God, and who thinks perhaps aliens created us, is concerned that American Christians will try and help God to fulfill Bible prophecy, by starting Armageddon to hasten the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

He need not worry. Russia is doing that for us. Twenty years ago I wrote a book called, Russia Will Attack Israel, based on the prophecies of Ezekiel 38 and 39 and Joel chapter 2. With the recent Russian aggression on Georgia, maybe it’s about time for an updated reprint.

I couldn’t help but notice the signs of aging (that are creeping up on all of us) that have crept onto the once handsome Richard Dawkins. It will only be a matter of time before he meets His Maker and finds that the image of the god he doesn’t believe in, doesn’t exist. He won’t find the pious bearded old man reaching out to touch the hand of Adam. Neither will he find his "megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully."

He will instead find that Almighty God is a flaming fire of holiness, morally perfect, and the very habitation of justice and truth. What a fearful thing for blasphemous Mr. Dawkins. My earnest prayer is that he will repent of his sins, and trust in Jesus Christ before that day comes.

Tempted to be a Satan-worshipper

Have you ever studied the temptation of Jesus and wondered what was so bad about turning stones into bread? That was the first satanic temptation. The second and third are understandable--Jesus was tempted to commit suicide, and then to be a satan-worshipper (see Matthew 4:1-11). But, after fasting for 40 days and 40 nights, why shouldn’t Jesus use His supernatural powers to have a bite of fresh bread?

But Jesus didn’t use His powers for His own ends. The Bible says He always did those things that pleased the Father. Everything He did was done because it was God, not the devil, who told Him to do it--from the calling of the disciples, to the healing of the blind and the raising of Lazarus, to shedding His blood on the cross. All, including the very food that went in His mouth, happened because of His intimate relationship to God. That’s what it means to love God with all of the heart, mind, soul and strength.

The ungodly are not so. They are lovers of themselves. They indulge in the lusts of the flesh as if it were their birthright. They don’t eat to the glory of God, but solely for their own pleasure. To them, God is nothing but a divine butler. He is the means to their own selfish ends. If they cast themselves down, they would expect God to give His angels charge over them, lest they dash their foot against a stone. And when God doesn’t bow to their dictates, they are offended.

Yet, by their very lifestyle the ungodly have already bowed the knee to Satan. He is their father and it is him that they gladly serve, and the wages he pays is death. Their only hope of salvation is to say "Get behind me satan!" through genuine repentance and faith in Jesus.

Only God can keep us from temptation and deliver us from evil, for His is the kingdom, the power and the glory. For ever and ever. Amen.

Atheist Question

"The Bible itself is presumed to be the word of God written down by inspired men simply because the men said they were inspired? Or is there something else? Also, if the entire Bible, OT and NT, are to be the inerrant word, how are differences between the OT and NT reconciled. I'm thinking of the largely negative (by today's standards) ideas such as stoning for various offenses in the OT as compared with the largely positive message in the NT. What am I missing? I have many more questions, but I think this is a good start." Anish

You have asked only two of a thousand questions you could ask about the Bible. However, its claim is summed up in that humanity has violated the Law of a holy God. He sees lust as adultery, and hatred as murder. Lying lips are an abomination to Him. Death and then damnation in Hell are our just (right) punishment for our crimes against Him. But God is rich in mercy and has paid the fine for the Law we violated through the suffering death of the Savior. Upon our repentance and faith alone in Jesus, God justifies us (makes us right with Him) and dismisses our case. He commutes our death sentence and lets us live--He freely gives us the gift of everlasting life. That’s the Gospel, and if it’s true, then it is the most incredible news that humanity could ever hope to hear.

If I picked up an instruction book that claimed to be for a certain appliance, how can I best prove what it says? It is to test its claims. The book says to plug the appliance in. I do that. It says to program it by flicking the left switch upwards. That will make a green light flash. It does. Now the right switch that will make a red light flash. That happens too. It tells me to push the middle button three times and that will give me a picture. The picture comes on. It then tells me how to adjust the picture. I follow another 12 specific instructions from the book and watch the appliance do everything the book said it would. Logic tells me that this instruction book is the right book for that appliance. Any other conclusion would be lunacy.

This is the claim of the Instruction Book: "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest [reveal] Myself to him" (John 14:21). Either that’s true, or it isn’t. You say you are sincere in seeking the truth. Then do what the Book says. Simply get on your knees, confess and forsake your beloved sins, and trust in Jesus for your eternal salvation. The light will come on. You will come to know God, you will pass from death to life, and you will pass from darkness to light. And then you will have a lot more questions. But they will be asked in humble awe.

The Berkley Experts

"So, Ray. Using your 30 years of in depth research into the evidence for evolution, please inform the class why Tiktaalik doesn't count as a transitional form. You've been given an example. Now before you make another post repeating your claim that there are 'absolutely no transitional fossils,' please deal with this one." Rando

Let’s look closely at the Titaalik, which you believe is an example of a species-to-species transitional form. We will go to the experts at Berkley. In an article published back in May of 2006, they ask the question: "What has the head of a crocodile and the gills of a fish?" (Wait a minute. Are the experts saying they have found a "Crocafish"? Why then am I so mocked by evolutionists when I ask you to show me a Crocaduck?).

This is their fishy story: "Unearthed in Arctic Canada by a team of researchers led by Neil Shubin, Edward Daeschler, and Farish Jenkins, Tiktaalik is technically a fish, complete with scales and gills — but it has the flattened head of a crocodile and unusual fins" (http://evolution.berkeley.edu/evolibrary/news/060501_tiktaalik).

So this find is "technically a fish, complete with scales and gills." Let me repeat what the experts said, in case you missed it. Titaalik "is technically a fish, complete with scales and gills," and it has an unusual head that looks like a crocodile. Big deal. This has nothing at all to do with the theory of evolution or species-to-species transitional forms. It’s a fish, and God has created thousands of other fish with strange heads (see pictures of the Russian fish-face, and the ugly toadfish).

I can hardly believe how people will swallow anything as long as it has a big (or strange) name and is believed to be millions of years old. I wonder why atheists are the ultimate skeptics when it comes to the axiom of God, and blind believers when it comes to the theory tale of evolution.

Gullible Humanity

It was evolutionist Professor Richard Lewontin who said, "The eminent Kant scholar Lewis Beck used to say that anyone who could believe in God could believe in anything." How true this is. With God, nothing is impossible.

No doubt Mr. Beck was rather thinking of the gullibility of human nature when he made his observation. It’s true, people are easily conned, and the biggest con ever pulled over the eyes of humanity is the inane theory tale of Darwinian evolution. It is a lesson to us never to take what we are told on face value.

But the question must be asked as to why so many are so willing to be deceived. Gullible evolutionists refuse to even question their blind beliefs. This is because it is a moral issue. Darwinian evolution (in the minds of believers) gets rid of the God of the Bible, the issue of sin, and the reality of Hell. The theory of evolution is a very thin bush behind which the atheist thinks he can sin to his heart's delight, and not be seen by God.

Man is a deceiver and at the same time he is easily deceived. The essence of deception is that a deceived person will not know he is deceived. This is why we need the Word of an immutable God as a light to our path and a lamp to our feet.

P.s. A challenge to believers in Darwinian evolution:

Ask the gurus (that you have so much faith in) to give you credible scientific evidence for species-to-species transitional forms in the fossil record (not hearsay). Note: scientific evidence for "species-to species" transitional forms (Darwinian evolution) in the fossil record. They can't do it, because there isn't any. None. Prove me wrong.

"According to the theory of evolution, all four-limbed animals--everything from human beings to dinosaurs--are descended from a single creature, the first to crawl from water on to land. Yet finding that vital bridge between fish and four legs has proven elusive." http://www.pbs.org/

The vital bridge is "elusive" because it doesn't exist. The whole of creation testifies that every animal brings forth after its own kind, just as the Bible says.

Bible Censorship

"lonomoholo said...To Christians: Is there any evidence you can offer to show that the soul is real? Anything credible that is, without the fallback to quoting the Bible."

One question for you. Can you email me any evidence you can offer to show that atheism is real? Anything credible that is, without the fallback of using a computer or any transmitting device.

Whether you believe it or not, the Bible is God's revelation to humanity. It's only there that you will find explanations of what the soul is--its Creator, its very essence, its eternal destiny, etc. The word is used 432 times in Scripture, so if you are seeking truth, why do you censure the Bible?

Today's Thought

Science is the mere uncovering of the handiwork of Almighty God.

P.s. Evolution is pseudo-science.

From the Prince of Preachers

"Come, friend, I will talk to you personally again--young man, we shall soon grow old, or, perhaps, we shall die before that time, and we shall lie upon our bed--the last bed upon which we shall ever sleep--we shall wake from our last slumber to hear the doleful tidings that there is no hope; the physician will feel our pulse, and solemnly assure our relatives that it is all over!

And we shall lie in that still room, where all is hushed except the ticking of the clock, and the weeping of our wife and children; and we must die. O! how solemn will it be that hour when we must struggle with that enemy, Death! The death-rattle is in our throat--we can scarce articulate--we try to speak; the death-glaze is on the eye: Death has put his fingers on those windows of the body, and shut out the light for ever; the hands well-nigh refuse to lift themselves, and there we are, close on the borders of the grave! Ah! that moment, when the spirit sees its destiny; that moment, of all moments the most solemn, when the soul looks through the bars of its cage, upon the world to come!

No, I can not tell you how the spirit feels, if it be an ungodly spirit, when it sees a fiery throne of judgment, and hears the thunders of Almighty wrath, while there is but a moment between it and Hell. I can not picture to you what must be the fright which men will feel, when they realize what they often heard of!" Charles Spurgeon

Today's Thought For the Thinking Atheist

"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" (Mark 8:36).

The Atheist Confirms the Reality of God

"Ray errs when he compares a 'building and its builder' with a 'human and his creator,' they are not the same thing!" P. Phil

Actually, it’s not me that says that every building has a builder and that logically leads to the truth that creation therefore proves that there is a Creator. God’s Word makes the intellectual condescension to make the obvious comparison. It says, "For every house is built by some man; but he that built all things is God" (Hebrews 3:4).

The atheist himself confirms the reality of the God who created all things. This is why. When someone becomes a Christian, he immediately cares about those that are around him. He cares about those who are unwanted in society—-the poor, the bad, and the ugly (those that lack what society esteems). This is because God put His love within him the moment that he repented and trusted the Savior.

It is because of God's love that I care about the fate of those that lack intelligence (atheists). When the atheist says that there is no evidence that God exists, I take the time to reason with him about creation not being an accident, even though it is intellectually demeaning to have to do so (atheism is the epitome of stupidity). It's an intellectual embarrassment. But I have done so thousands of times, and will do so until my last breath . . . thanks alone to the love of God that dwells in me.

This Made me Laugh

Kicking and Screaming

"The God that I read about in the bible is quite capricious. You never know when he might smite one." Dale

Dale, I can understand why you feel that the God of the Bible is capricious. To you, His judgments make no sense. They are irrational. That’s because you are not God. I’m not being facetious. I reminding you that you aren’t omniscient. It is because He has all knowledge that all of His judgments are righteous and true all together. Your knowledge is extremely limited, so how could you begin to understand the judgments of Almighty God?

Let’s look at your moral judgments for a moment. Do you think homosexuality is morally wrong? Of course you don’t (I’m guessing). How about fornication? Adultery? Murder? Rape? Lying and stealing? If you say that any of these things are morally wrong, from where do you get your standard of judgment? Is it your own moral standard? Perhaps you say that it’s whatever society considered to be morally correct. So then if society says that homosexuality is morally okay, then you agree. If society says that fornication (sex outside of marriage) is okay, then you agree. Then if society says that it’s morally right to exterminate Jews, then you must say that it’s okay, because you have no moral absolutes.

Dale, the thought of you ending up in Hell grieves me. I can hardly entertain it. But I know that if a holy and perfect God judges you by His perfect moral standard, that is where you will end up. You may go kicking and screaming (like a murderer to the electric chair), but you will still go there. Please look for a moment at the Ten Commandments. Go through them and ask yourself if you have kept them in the light of what Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount. If you are honest, you will have to come to the same conclusion that I came to one night in 1972. I am a sinner. I need a Savior.

Thought for Today

Evolutionists have done to science, what hypocrites have done to Christianity.

You are not Alone

While atheists in England had trouble raising finance for a sign on a bus, it seems that atheists in the U. S. have been able to find enough money for their own billboards around the country. Their message simply reads "Don't believe in God?...you are not alone." It seems that atheists get lonely, and want to band together. They need to know that they are not just a voice in the wilderness. There are others who believe as they do, which is a consoling fact.

Most atheists when questioned as to why they frequent this site, say that they do so to keep an idiot in check. But I’m sure loneliness plays a big part. They are bored. They have nothing else to do than harass Christians.

But I have a consoling suggestion for the billboard folks. The next time you put up your lonely sign, let me add three meaningful words:

“Don't believe in God?...you are not alone. He is everywhere.”

God’s Obligation

A young lady from Corona, California, was devastated by the tragic death of her boyfriend this week. The couple had just celebrated the birth of their first child. He had been to a nightclub, and was returning with friends at 2:00 AM, when police said he was speeding and lost control. He hit a tree, cut his car in two, killed himself and his three passengers. He and his friends are now in eternity.

His mother said that her son “loved to drink.” His distraught girlfriend lamented, “I don’t know why God would do this to me.”

My heart went out to her for her loss, but why was she blaming God for the death of her boyfriend? He was the one who was speeding, probably drunk, at 2:00 AM. He killed himself. The incident had nothing to do with God, other than that He allowed it, in His sovereign will.

It seems obvious that many nowadays think that God is nothing but a divine butler. He is there for our convenience--to come running when we click our sinful fingers.

God gave us life. He lavished His goodness upon us, and to think that we can treat Him as some sort of lowly servant is to reveal an ignorance of who He is. Such error can only end in disillusionment of life and bitterness of soul.

God owes us nothing but justice. He has no obligation at all to bless us with health, wealth or long life. A civil judge is under no obligation to show mercy to a guilty criminal. If there was an obligation, then it wouldn’t be true mercy. Mercy is unmerited. He is, however, obligated to make sure that justice is done.

So it is with God. He is obligated by His very nature to manifest His divine and just wrath against all sin, and that will happen on what the Bible calls "the great and terrible day of the Lord" (the Day of Judgment). But He is "rich in mercy," and has offered us mercy in the cross . . . and we must receive it while we are on this side of eternity.

The Divine Foot

Professor Richard Lewontin is an American evolutionary biologist, geneticist and social commentator. A leader in developing the mathematical basis of population genetics and evolutionary theory, he pioneered the notion of using techniques from molecular biology such as gel electrophoresis to apply to questions of genetic variation and evolution. Look at the following comment in which he reveals the reason evolutions are so anti Intelligent Design—regardless of whether or not the facts support it:

"We take the side of science in spite of the patent absurdity of some of its constructs, in spite of its failure to fulfill many of its extravagant promises of health and life, in spite of the tolerance of the scientific community for unsubstantiated just-so stories, because we have a prior commitment, a commitment to materialism. It is not that the methods and institutions of science somehow compel us to accept a material explanation of the phenomenal world, but, on the contrary, that we are forced by our a priori adherence to material causes to create an apparatus of investigation and a set of concepts that produce material explanations, no matter how counter-intuitive, no matter how mystifying to the uninitiated. Moreover, that materialism is an absolute, for we cannot allow a Divine Foot in the door." Richard Lewontin, Billions and billions of demons, The New York Review, p. 31, 9 January 1997.

The reason evolutionists stubbornly hold to their beliefs even though they are absurd, unsubstantiated is because they cannot allow a divine foot in the door. I have news for Mr. Lewontin. It’s too late. God is in the house.

WDAY' s Explanation Regarding the Debate

From the Program Producer:

"I've been bombarded with emails from people claiming that Mr. Comfort is stating that Dr. Myers 'chickened out' of the debate. This is just not true. We (Ben, Jim, and myself) made a decision Monday afternoon that due to the call-in nature of our show, it would work better to have two separate segments . . . I can only guess that some of the emails we sent to you were lost, as Monday is when our server problems started. I am assuming that the email containing the information on the change in format, from a debate to two separate interviews, was never received by you. For this I apologize, as it has caused much confusion on the internet regarding the interviews with Mr. Comfort and Dr. Myers." Producer, Ben and Jim in the Morning, WDAY Radio.

My reply: "Thank you very much for your kind explanation. The first communication I received that the debate was off, was ten minutes before I was due to go on air, and therefore wondered if Dr. Myers had chickened out (I have had that happen with atheists). My apologies to you and to him for the misunderstanding.

I am in the very enviable position of having a mass of atheists follow me around, and for some reason they have a habit of embellishing my words. Still, I am honored that so many read my daily blog and welcome more. Thanks again for having me on your program. Best wishes, Ray."

Scientific Proof for Evolution

I took the time to listen to most of PZ Myers' response to my interview on WDAY Radio. The highlight came when the host asked THE big question. It was the same question I would have asked him: "Now do you have any observed examples of evolution? I would like to get some actual science that would explain this. Something we could sink our teeth into. The common man…" He wanted some (any) observable scientific evidence for the theory of evolution.

This was a wonderful opportunity to silence the critics. Professor PZ Meyers gave it his best shot. Here is his word-for-word answer:

"One that was really spectacular just recently is the observation of divergence of species of lizards in the Mediterranean. There were a set of islands there that were kind of abandoned by a war on the Slavic’s on the Balkan Peninsula. What happened was that while they were abandoned there were these introduced species of lizards that were rapidly evolving to take advantage of new situations. So they were switching from a mostly insect lifestyle, where they were eating lots of insects, to one where they were also taking advantage of plant material. Not only have they observed changes (they can document them they can see the species shift), but they have also discovered that these lizards have evolved a new structure, a new little enfolding of the gut, to allow them to digest more food; plant material in particular. So you know it’s a combination of things. It’s actually observing a change in populations and it’s the observing the appearance of novel structures in the gut."

You could detect that the host was extremely under-whelmed by this observable scientific proof for the theory. He said, "Okay. Alright . . . " Then he quickly changed the subject.

So there you have it. The best observable scientific evidence for the theory tale of evolution is the really spectacular evidence of "a new little enfolding of the gut." Wow.

You can listen to the original interview on: www.areavoices.com/benandjim/?blog=31157

The station told us that they normally get 30-50 people log onto their site. After the above interview, over 2000 people logged on.

The Atheist Starter Kit

I know this is permanently on the side-bar of the blog, but the points are important for new atheists, so it will also go out via email:

If you are a beginner atheist, there's a belief system you should embrace and a language you should learn, or you will find yourself in trouble. Here are ten suggestions for the novice:

1. Whenever you are presented with credible evidence for God's existence, call it a "straw man argument," or "circular reasoning." If something is quoted from somewhere, label it "quote mining."

2. When a Christian says that creation proves that there is a Creator, dismiss such common sense by saying "That's just the old watchmaker argument."

3. When you hear that you have everything to gain and nothing to lose (the pleasures of Heaven, and the endurance of Hell) by obeying the Gospel, say "That's just the old 'Pascal wager.'"

4. You can also deal with the "whoever looks on a woman to lust for her, has committed adultery with her already in his heart," by saying that there is no evidence that Jesus existed. None.

5. Believe that the Bible is full of mistakes, and actually says things like the world is flat. Do not read it for yourself. That is a big mistake. Instead, read, believe, and imitate Richard Dawkins. Learn and practice the use of big words. "Megalo-maniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully" is a good phrase to learn.

6. Say that you were once a genuine Christian, and that you found it to be false. (The cool thing about being an atheist is that you can lie through your teeth, because you believe that are no moral absolutes.) Additionally, if a Christian points out that this is impossible (simply due to the very definition of Christianity as one who knows the Lord), just reply "That's the 'no true Scotsman fallacy.'" PLEASE NOTE: It cannot be overly emphasized how learning and using these little phrases can help you feel secure in dismissing common sense.

7. Believe that nothing is 100% certain, except the theory of Darwinian evolution. Do not question it. Believe with all of your heart that there is credible scientific evidence for species-to-species transitional forms. When you make any argument, pat yourself on the back by concluding with "Man, are you busted!" That will make you feel good about yourself.

8. Deal with the threat of eternal punishment by saying that you don't believe in the existence of Hell. Then convince yourself that because you don't believe in something, it therefore doesn't exist. Don't follow that logic onto a railway line and an oncoming train.

9. Blame Christianity for the atrocities of the Roman Catholic church--when it tortured Christians through the Spanish Inquisition, imprisoned Galileo for his beliefs, or when it murdered Moslems in the Crusades.

10. Finally, keep in fellowship with other like-minded atheists who believe as you believe, and encourage each other in your beliefs. Build up your faith. Never doubt for a moment. Remember, the key to atheism is to be unreasonable. Fall back on that when you feel threatened. Think shallow, and keep telling yourself that you are intelligent. Remember, an atheist is someone who pretends there is no God.

The King of Atheists

"Biology is the study of complicated things that give the appearance of having been designed for a purpose." Richard Dawkins, The Blind Watchmaker (New York: W.W. Norton & Company), p. 1.

I can't help but wonder if Richard Dawkins is sometimes an embarrassment to the atheist world. Why would he admit that creation has an "appearance of having been designed for a purpose" (Intelligent Design) and yet deny that there is a Creator?

A plane has an appearance of having been designed for a purpose. It has wings. They appear to have a purpose. The plane also has engines that give the appearance of being designed for a purpose. It has seating designed for the purpose of passengers, windows that are designed for passengers to look out of, and doors designed for passengers to enter and exit.

The whole plane has the appearance of having been designed for a purpose. So what sort of crazy-man would I be to say that the whole appearance of design was designed by no-one?

However, that’s the sad belief of the king of atheists. Richard Dawkins is wonderfully and intelligently designed, but he is not exercising the intelligence he was purposefully designed for.

Why People Have an Affair

A new book has just been published, called, When Good People Have Affairs. It gives seventeen motives as to why people have an affair.

One of the seventeen is the "accidental affair." This is when a woman has an innocent drink with her boss, and then goes back to his apartment to discuss business and ends up in bed with him. I’m sure her husband will completely understand the next day when she tells him that she accidentally committed adultery.

No doubt the book will become a best-seller because human beings love to be told that they are good people. This deals with the "sin" problem. Good people don’t go to Hell. The trouble is that the word "good" is relative. Your good may be different from my good, and Hitler’s good is no doubt different from what our idea of good.

The dilemma of the world’s definition of the word ends when we look to how God defines it. In His Book, it means moral perfection, in thought, word, and in deed. If that’s that case, then none of us is good. And if that’s the case, the author’s book title is an oxymoron, because good people don’t commit adultery. Sinners do, and sinners who commit adultery will receive terrible justice from a holy God for transgression of His Law.

I wonder if the author has seen that this could be the beginning of an interesting series of five books. She could also write, When Good People Rob Banks. Then follow that with, When Good People Rape, When Good People Murder, and then, When good People Commit Genocide.

Follow the Correct Procedure

"God concept is not new to me. I've thought about it for years . . . many of us prayed when we were believers and got no response."

There is a difference between being a "believer" and being a Christian. Every sane human being is a "believer" in God’s existence. Some people pretend He doesn’t exist (atheists) but they know He does. I know what the atheist knows because God’s Word tells me that He has given light to every man. He cannot plead ignorance.

Many a "believer" has prayed to God and "got no response" because he hasn’t done what he has been commanded to do so that he will be heard. What would you think of me if I said that I didn’t believe in cell phones because I tried using one and there was no response from the other person? I failed to turn the phone on and dial the number. That’s the reason there was no response. You have to follow procedure to get a response from the other end of a phone and the same applies with calling on God.

The procedure for getting a response from God is to repent and then trust in Jesus Christ. Since I did that many years ago I get a response every time I pray. Sometimes it’s "Yes" from God. Sometimes there’s a "No." Sometimes there’s a "Please hold." This isn’t in an audible voice, but through a certain conviction (like the voice of the conscience), through providential circumstances, or through His Word, the Bible.

Man or a Mouse?

Have you ever wondered why scientists do research with mice? I thought about it recently when I heard Mr. Ronald Evans, PHD, from the "Salk Institute for Biological Studies" say, "All of the genetic components are exactly the same in mice as in people.” Wow. All the genetic components are there. This opens up a whole new realm for the imagination of the believer of the theory of evolution. Man may have evolved from the mouse, or should I say, had a common ancestor in the mouse.

For an evolutionist it really is just common sense when you think of the homologous structure of the mouse. Think of how the mouse uses its human-like hands in a human-like manner. Think of its human-like ears, human-like eyes, mouth and teeth (kind of).

The mouse, as do humans, has a heart, brain, liver, kidneys, lungs, legs, feet, blood, veins, etc. Humans and mice both need male and female to survive. But more: “As fellow mammals, humans share many physiological, anatomical, and metabolic parallels with mice” (Nadeau and Taylor 1984).

So there you have it--a new theory for naive believers to blindly embrace . . . and why not? There are no rules and no bounds of the imagination when it comes to the theory tale of evolution.

There is one similarity I forgot to mention. Both the mouse and the human being are easily trapped and killed. One by the smell of cheese, the other by a mere hint of sin

Seeing is Believing

佐橋俊彦 said, "I'm an artist, so I did this picture of the kind of transitional species I would like to see, if I did see it I would believe in evolution instantly."

Art Experts

A group of self-appointed art experts stood around a beautiful painting. They admired each brush stoke, with its vibrant colors, and its sheer brilliance. It was utterly unique in style. It was a masterpiece.

One of the experts suddenly noticed a very small signature at the bottom of the painting. He leaned forward to take a closer look, stood back, and with utter distain said the artist’s name and used the “n” word to describe him. They hated this man and all of his work, simply because of his skin color. Immediately they took out a small knife and carefully scraped off the artist’s name until it was no longer visible.

God knows (and you know) why those who deny God’s existence come up with the same arguments over and over. They, as the Bible says, “hate God without cause.” They see the expression of His utterly brilliant handiwork. He gave them the gift of life itself, and painted the landscape of this world with breath-taking beauty, and they scrape any semblance of His name from the canvas. They distain the God who gave them life simply because of His moral government.

And it’s clear that the atheists’ aggressive agenda is to remove God’s name from schools, from currency, from nature programs, and history books, and at the same time fill movies and television with His name used in blasphemy.

But our concern isn’t for God. The Bible says, “God is not mocked. Whatever a man sows, that shall he reap.” All they are doing is storing up wrath, that will be revealed on the day of wrath. They are like a stunted, blind and crippled flea, shaking his rebellious little fist at a massive herd of ten thousand wild stampeding elephants. They had better move out of the way while they still have time.

Losers and Jerks

"Imagine if you are a scientific illiterate, a hack actor, inept at argument and rhetoric, lacking imagination, or (as is the case for so many others) an alcoholic whose brain has been damaged by drinking, a former sex addict who burned out, or a person with other big problems who has hit rock bottom and thinks that they may be a loser. Along comes this religion that suddenly tells you that you're not a loser, and that you can be better than anyone else, and all you have to do is believe in this Messiah. Heck, many of them even recruit new followers in mental hospitals, of all places." David Irish

David, may I say with all due respect, you have confused the modern message of the contemporary church with the one given by the Bible. The message of Christianity isn’t for those who have problems. That’s a common fallacy. It is true we are all in a sense losers, but not in the way of which you are speaking. You and I are losers because our heart is deceitfully wicked, and because God’s wrath abides on us, until we repent and trust the Savior. If that’s not enough for you here’s the Scriptures describing the moral state of humanity:

"There is none righteous, no, not one; there is none who understands; there is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; they have together become unprofitable; there is none who does good, no, not one. Their throat is an open tomb; with their tongues they have practiced deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips; whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; destruction and misery are in their ways; and the way of peace they have not known. There is no fear of God before their eyes" (Romans 3:11-18).

So you get your philosophy about not being a loser, from the Bible. We are all big time losers and jerks.

You have more than likely formulated your "problem people" thoughts from the message of contemporary televangelists, who, in the name of God, deceive the minds of the simple. They sell them holy water and pieces of holy material, and tell them that God wants them to be winners and to prosper, if they will just send in their seed money.

However, the true message of Christianity isn’t just for those have problems. It’s also for those without problems. It’s a universal message. It’s also for those who are happily enjoying their fornication and pornography. It’s for both rich and poor, top rockers and rock bottomers, happy and sad--all of us need God’s mercy, which is available only in Jesus Christ.

Today’s Atheist Memory Verse

"You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not commit adultery.' But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart" (Matthew 5: 27-28).
